Option #1 Keep your records inside of your business. There are some advantages to storing your paperwork onsite along with some disadvantages. If you need to reference your files they will be inside of your facility as long as you can find them. A number of businesses start out thinking that they have plenty of space to contain all of their documents and paperwork and then end up running out of space quite quickly. As a business grows you may need to double the amount of space you have set aside for paperwork storage, or even triple it.

Option #2 Rent a room or locker at a storage facility. There are a number of storage facilities in the Chicagoland area. Renting a room at one of these facilities is cheap and easy. But, you will find that there are a high number of break ins at these facilities and that they are not climate controlled. While you can get the unlimited amount of storage space that you need, you can not trust one of these facilities to house your important tax and financial records.

Option #3 Use a storage facility designed to house important records and documents. Enjoy all of the benefits of a storage unit without having to worry about the elements destroying your important documents or thieves breaking into your locker and stealing from it.
